Why a NinjaTrader journal matters

Broker and platform history alone rarely tells the full story. A dedicated journal helps traders connect performance with behavior, setups, process quality, and emotional discipline.

Review beyond P&L

FundedNotes surfaces the bigger picture: win rate, profit factor, average trade, calendar performance, and notes tied directly to trades, so review goes beyond raw numbers.

Useful for discretionary and prop traders

Whether you are trading a personal account or a prop firm evaluation, journaling the same performance data in a consistent way makes it much easier to spot repeat behaviors and correct them faster.

Designed for post-trade clarity

FundedNotes is built to help traders slow down after the session, document what happened, and make sharper decisions the next day based on saved evidence rather than memory.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get NinjaTrader trades into FundedNotes?

Export your trades from NinjaTrader as a CSV (Control Center → Trade Performance → Export) and import them through FundedNotes's manual import. NinjaTrader-routed accounts that use Tradovate for execution can also be linked directly.

Does FundedNotes replace NinjaTrader?

No. FundedNotes is a post-trade review and journaling layer that sits on top of your existing platform. NinjaTrader stays your execution platform; FundedNotes is where you review, journal, and analyse what already happened.

Can I journal manual setups, screenshots, and mistakes?

Yes. Every imported trade can be tagged with the setup played, the mistake (if any), emotional state, screenshots, and free-form notes. Patterns then surface in the analytics and calendar views.

Does FundedNotes analyse session performance?

Yes. Trades are bucketed by session (Asia, London, NY open, NY afternoon) so you can see where your edge actually lives — and where it doesn't.

Will my NinjaTrader data stay private?

Yes. Imported trades sit under your own user account with row-level security in Supabase Postgres. Only you (and any admin you have explicitly granted access) can read your trades.
